The Citizens to Re-Elect Julie Yeager, Magistrate, is having a Rally Friday May 9th, 2008, a the Power Alley Clubhouse, located at the Appalachian Power Park, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There is a game at 7:00 p.m.; it is fireworks night at the ballpark. Gov. Manchin Hosts Democratic Rally
The night before the Primary Election, Monday May 12, Gov. Joe Manchin is once again hosting an old-fashioned Democratic Rally at the Farmington Fire Hall in Marion County. All statewide Democratic officeholders and candidates have been invited, including the presidential candidates. Food and refreshments will be provided and the Davidson Brothers band will be performing. Doors open at 6pm and the program will begin at 7pm.

Senators – Sen. Byrd and Sen. Rockefeller – have to make a decision by June 30 on how much they are going to pay doctors in the Medicare program. Gas prices and food prices and other costs are rising.
Enough is enough. But with each passing we’re becoming more concerned that Congress may choose to increase payments to doctors by simply passing on the cost to Medicare beneficiaries and raising premiums yet again. That’s just not fair. So, we’re fighting back!
