Hillary Clinton and then Barrack Obama made sense last week. Hope was offered and hope is needed. Either one would be a vast improvement over the devastation we’ve endured as a nation. It is my hope that we were visited by our next President.
John McCain just flat out scares me. The last thing this country needs right now is a military man to lead it, especially one with such a documented bad temper. We’d just never get our people and our noses out of Iraq. It would be War as usual with the same corrupt no-bid contracts going to the same shadow private contractors who’ve helped rob our country blind.
I don’t know how many more times our hearts can stand being ripped out at the sight of a small child being surprised at school by Mom or Dad just home from the War. I’m not sure I’ve got that many tears left in me and I’m guessing the families who’ve placed their lives on hold while they serve are wondering why they have to return multiple times to fight a war without end.
Back home, Republicans remarkably seem to be hearing - as if for the first time - the dire economic consequences of our lax regulatory policies. Suddenly, it’s as if they now realize what the rest of us have known for years. Our economy is buggered. Our standard of living is more than a little on the downtick. None of this is new information by the way. It’s just that the facts are now so overwhelming that they can’t be swept under the rug anymore.
So, now they’re all ears like this is the first they’ve heard of it. How could such a thing happen? But watch, not one among them will claim any responsibility for allowing this train wreck to happen. Watch as the spin doctors chalk it up to elephant amnesia or worse yet something average citizens should pay for because somehow we’re to blame. The level of hypocrisy is stunning.
In Washington, a Split Over Regulation of Wall Street

Never forget the price paid for where you stand today. None of us has had to experience the pain of separation or live with the disgrace and humiliation that comes with not being free. When you cast your vote for who will run our country, never forget your history and keep this bill of sale in mind.
When we allow ourselves to forget our not so distant past, then we are destined to repeat these actions in our future. Stand for those who came before us and those who could not stand up for themselves. I encourage you to share this with everyone you know. VOTE! (View Enlarged Photo)
Every Child Does Matter
As we all await the arrival of spring, millions of American kids remain in poverty, waiting anxiously for someone to notice their silent suffering without adequate food, shelter, clothing, health care and safe neighborhoods.
Nearly 40% of American kids live in low-income families, 17% below the official poverty line. Many of those living in near-poverty households are in families facing bankruptcy or foreclosure of their homes.
The United States has the second-worst child poverty rate (after Mexico) among 26 rich countries. Other rich countries have adopted policies which sharply reduce child poverty compared to the U.S.'s modest effort. You can find out more about where your state stands on child poverty by clicking here.
You can help by sending a question to the presidential candidates asking them:
Question: "13.6 million of America's children live in poverty. What would you do to help families with children become economically self-sufficient and able to provide for their family's needs?"

No one wants to see children living in poverty, but right now combating poverty isn't a national priority. That's why Every Child Matters, with your help, is fighting for children in this election. It's been decades since we've had a serious debate about poverty in America. Message to the presidential candidates: millions of U.S. children living in poverty is unacceptable.
Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Love the ones who don't just because you can. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Kiss slowly. Forgive quickly. God never said life would be easy. He just promised it would be worth it.
Today is sister's day, send this to all your sisters even me if I am like one. If you get back 7, you are loved. Happy Sister's Day! I LOVE YA SISTA'!!! :-)
