Re-Elect Julie Yeager - Kanawha County Magistrate
It has been a pleasure serving the citizens of Kanawha County as your Magistrate for the past four years. I have accomplished many tasks in my first term of office, but I am not finished with my work. Therefore, I need your help and support in the upcoming election. I have worked very hard, and will continue to be an honest, fair, and efficient judge.
We have 10 Magistrates in Kanawha County, and I’ve always said Magistrates are the gatekeepers of the Judicial system. As a Magistrate, we take care of people in custody – most for the first time – for offenses like shoplifting to murder. We hear all felonies, access all citations issued by law enforcement, conduct hearings on all civil and criminal cases and review all Domestic Violence petitions. We also fill in as Juvenile Referrees when needed. I love being a Magistrate and ask voters for a second term.
